Copper etching from the complete set of ten Varj Capricci produced in the early 1740's.

These are from the 1785 edition printed under the auspices of Gian Domenico Tiepolo, after his father's death in 1770.

The etchings are a personal response to the prints and drawings of Salvator Rosa and Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione that he had been able to study in the collections of Anton Maria Zanetti the Elder and Zaccaria Sagredo.
