The Aye-aye is a percussive forager, tapping away with his middle finger on wooden surfaces and listening to determine where the cavities lie and figuring out if a grub is inside. Being from the lemur family, its home is the island of Madagascar. Now considered Endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. But there is a silver lining, the Aye-aye is very adaptable, being able to live in rainforests, mangrove swamps and dry scrub areas.
