This is an alternative version to the first version, which is free-standing, and is part of a five-part project on the wood runes of the Old English Rune Poem.
Freely translated, it read:
(Yew) is on the outside / a rough tree
Steadfast in the earth / keeper of flame
Well-supported by its roots / a pleasure to have on one's land.
