Full Tide (or, What the Wreck Heard)
Signed under the base, letter engraving on driftwood.
The wood is the other half of the wreck-wood used for They Shall Rise. While on the sea floor, bored into by teredos (large holes) and then by gribbles (small holes).
The words are from The First of May by Geoffrey Johnson (1893-1966), and though quoted completely out of context, they seemed to echo the history of this sculpted relic of the sea-floor.
