With fewer than 100 individuals in the wild, the Pygmy Three-toed Sloth's sole habitat is the island of Escudo de Veraguas on the Panamanian coast. As a tree dweller, the sloth rarely comes down from the trees, with very little known about this species, it is currently under threat from development of the island.
