Driftwood, mixed media assemblage.

When I picked up this globule of tiny pebbles, an eye, nose and mouth appeared. Lo and behold, one of Arcimboldo's portraits using vegetables or fruits looked up at me. I already had just the appropriate driftwood body in the studio. Its flowing coat, dropped shoulder, raglan sleeve, all in proportion. The subtly angled steel rod legs suggest a hint of movement.
