Quality of 100 year old leather, still stout. Copper nails that glint in salty sunshine. Is this a scrap from an urchins boot, or the heel from a local land-owners brogue? I wanted to bring it to life, and gave it this beautifully sea-worked, highly bleached bird head.
The base is formed by two separate wooden items of contrasting shape, connected by colour.
