In 1976 the journalist Stein ove Grønsund suggested to colleagues that Michael Rothenstein be commissioned to produce a mural scheme for the entrance hall to Fredrikstad's Instutt for Journalistikk. The final result, still in situ, consists of four separate images, drawn from fragments of Norwegian, English and American newsprint, heat pressed and hung together to make a big mural panel. Each individual screenprint was subsequently given a small edition run of twelve.
