The Wholly Trinity
Set on a block, the upturned remains of what appears to be a sea worn Elder tree, roots and stump, 68 cms. high x 44 cms. across.
Its sculptural qualities provide three distinct and well-balanced perches for three very individual small birds.
Why do I identify with the bird of age and battle-scars, set atop? How come the bright-eyed, beautiful, neat one could be Jo? And so the mild, enquiring little fellow has to be Louis. Thus the "Wholly Trinity" celebrates our working together.
Six pieces make up the birds, picked up over the years. Jo found the fabulous base one bitter winter morning about four years ago. Constructed so that it may be viewed from all ways, this piece speaks for itself.
