A lithograph from one of Nolan's most important series, Leda and the Swan, inspired by the ancient Greek myth in which Zeus visits Leda, the Queen of the Spartans, in the guise of a swan. Following their amorous encounter Leda produces an egg from which Helen of Troy is born.
