Lee decorates his pots using the traditional Korean method of Punch'ŏng. White slip is applied to a dark stoneware body. Spread with his hands, and incised with tools. A stiff bristled brush may be used to scratch into the semi dry surface of the pot.

His work is in public collections worldwide, including the V&A and the British Museum in the UK.
